  • March 13-16, 2013: (Chandler) Paul Munsen will be demonstrating the updated Sun Oven, reported to be able to reach 180°-230°C (360°- 450°F), at Honeyville Farms, 33 S. 56th St. The free classes will be at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. each day. Registration is requested. More information...

  • Saturday, March 16, 2013: (Clovis) Central Valley Solar Cookers will be presenting a solar cooker building and solar cooking workshop at Dry Creek Park from 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. For more information contact Carl Peters.
  • June 22, 2013: (Fresno) Central Valley Solar Cookers will be holding a solar cooking festival at The Discovery Center in Fresno. This fun and educational festival will be Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm. It will feature solar cooking demonstrations, local bands, solar science demonstratins, local art and crafts for sale and all things solar.   • April 13-14, 2013: (New Haven) The Global Health & Innovation Conference 2013 is scheduled to take place next spring at Yale University. The conference is the world's largest global health conference and social entrepreneurship gathering. This must-attend, thought-leading conference annually convenes 2,200 leaders, changemakers, students, and professionals from all fields of global health, international development, and social entrepreneurship.   • July 26-28, 2013: (John Day) This year's SolWest Fair at the Grant County Fairgrounds hopes to include solar cooking demonstrations, with classes for all ages, solar food vendors and a solar potluck. Since 1999, SolWest has been a back-to-our-roots education-oriented event with the aim of helping small businesses and sustainability-oriented attendees, but the fair is endangered by lack of funding.
