You'll find a lot of trash and things you would probably describe as "not clean" all over the Internet. Sometimes, to find diamonds, one has to rake through a lot of dirt. But, as adults (most of us), we are capable of deciding what to read and what to ignore.

The link I gave goes straight to the discussion of "solar cooking under clouds". I don't think there's anything there that anyone is likely to find objectionable, and there are several things that people here would probably find interesting. If someone goes there and then goes off to explore somewhere else, inside or outside the newsgroup, then he or she must be prepared to find things of doubtful value. Such is reality.

Incidentally, I tried to do this edit while signed on with my usual name, but the system refused to allow me to do it. By signing off and posting anonymously as I am doing now, I am managing to make the edit. But I am left wondering if you decided to take on a nanny role and ban me from making contributions here. If so, tell me, and I will never come here again.

There is and was no attempt to ban or prevent you from making the contribution.

The very nature of a wiki invites people to share their findings and beliefs and that is an activity that I support whole heartedly.

The topic that you have started is indeed a very valuable one and deserves extensive study.

I was merely putting up a warning to others as to what all things might be found on the link.

Thanks for the clarification. I hope I didn't give offence.

But it is still true that the system won't allow me to make an edit when I am logged in with my usual name, DowenWilliams, but it does allow me to do so if I do it without being logged in, as I am doing again now. Something must be wrong somewhere. Is there anything we can do to fix this? It is a new problem. Until yesterday (Tuesday), everything worked fine.

Oh well...
