How wouldit apply if you were making a butterfly parabolic cooker where the reflector is split into two side plates?

If the exact shape of the wings is known, in mathematical terms, then it is theoretically possible to calculate the condition for them to be focus-balanced. The condition would not, in general, be the same as for the paraboloidal dish for which I did my calculation.

An easier approach might be to make the wings, determine their centre of mass and focal point by experiment, then attach weights to them to make them focus-balanced.
