Looking at the Manos Unidas variation... the numbers don't work for cutting the slit. The right triangle has sides of 14, 16, and 19(12+7) in the diagram. <span style="font-style: normal; "> (a^2)+(b^2)=(c^2)...</span> (14^2)+(16^2)=(19^2)... 452 =/= 361
 
   
Any suggestions or comments as to what it's supposed to be?

The geometry of the measurements for cutting the slit in the following updated plan works out. I've used the measurements for an actual build and cooking performance seems good. The angle of the slit is about 47degrees. The CooKit plans have an angle of 61. Not sure how this affects the sun angle conditions under which the reflector operates optimally and overall efficiency. Will post information about my work here with solar cookers sometime soon. If this image looks good can someone more skilled at editing the wiki insert it on the article page? Thanks. I have checked the simple plan for the Cookit and found dimensions missing and misleading information. I can provide another better version!
