:This might make sense, but I'm wondering why we wouldn't just add more photos and hotlinked text to the existing Compendium. What's your reasoning on this? Tom Sponheim 19:17, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

::Adding more links to the existing Compendium is a good idea too, but what I'm picturing is a page like the plans page on the archive - or even more compact - where it's easy to see it all at a glance, like Manufacturers and Vendors but sorted by design type instead of geography. Maybe the simple answer for now is to port the plans page, in gallery format, even if most of the links point back into the archive (or to stub pages that point to the archive). We could use one of those templates Walt was recommending, to put on stub pages. It'd be good to port some more of the plans also - and to port some plan pages in other languages, e.g. French and Spanish. --Beth Ogilvie 04:14, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

This page contains a list of various types of solar cookers. The list was extracted from the Compendium of solar cooker designs because we felt it didn't add to the various cooker overviews already in the compendium. But seeing this list, looking at the compendium, and looking at the plans page on the archive - this all makes me think we should have a cooker design overview page on the wiki. The page should have a compact presentation of different designs - preferrably in gallery format - with links to plans pages (if they exist) and to the discussion in the compendium.
