Deforestation is a real environmental threat to the sustainability of this country, and unless culturally appropriate, and technologically appropriate solutions are found, then the vicious and destructive cycle of deforestation might continue unchecked, and will definitely rob these people of their natural resources.
As people occupy more land and as towns keep growing, the trees in the Tabora region of Tanzania are probably not going to be planted fast enough to keep up with the need for cooking. People who are not practicing sustainable wood harvesting techniques will soon find their resources deplete. Deforestation caused by cooking with wood qnd charcoal has the potential of turning these grasslands and forests into desert-like conditions.
