The Sunspot is a small box oven sold as a survival kit. Its reflective surfaces concentrate solar radiation into a central chamber. The oven folds into a box and comes with a manual. It should be placed upon a rock or piece of wood, whatever is available. This oven has a small capacity and it suitable for cooking small quantities of food for one person. Most often used as an educational tool, it serves a good start to solar cooking or as an addition to existing solar cookers. The cooker can reach above 150 ºC (300 ºF) and 175 ºC (350 ºF) when cooking small amounts of food

The cooker can be purchased here for $48.90 plus postage.
