My name is Leon Simons. For the past years, I dedicated my work in acquiring and building a strong expertise on the negative effects humanity poses to our planet. This was mainly achieved by attending many conferences as well as travelling to 40 countries. Combining practical experience with theory helped me to understand ongoing processes and to form my own opinion. I managed to build an international network in different fields and disciplines.

Currently I am working on possible solutions for developing countries. Through a positive synergy of the right science, business, policy and civil action, I help to pave the road towards sustainability.

Focusing on fulfilling local needs in stead of simply copying western technologies, results in new solutions and ways of thinking.
