Heinz-Joachim Muller (Jo), an expert in water sterilization, started experimenting with evacuated tube water heaters in 2006. He soon was fascinated with the perceived disadvantage of evacuated tube collectors: Under certain conditions they don't just heat water, they produce steam! This lead him to start the company Sun2Steam PTY LTD, which is paying special attention to small scale applications that incorporate solar generated steam. Among the first first products is a solar food steamer.

Recent news and developmentsEdit

• February 2012: Jo Muller reports that they have taught over 200 people to solar cook since 2010. They began production of the Sun2Steam solar food steamer in 2009, and later developed the Sun2Cook. Muller is currently working on Sun2Water, a solar multi-effect water distillation system for the preparation of clean drinking water.
