News and recent developments
- July 2008: Stephen Harrigan reports: "In Feb. I had a great 3 week trip to Sudan and was able to cover both south and north Darfur. Also had a week in Ethiopia where a I left a few cookits to kickstart an effort there. Although the cardboard cookit is still the first line of attack to use in Darfur and teach the people I have developed a cheap plastic cookit with mylar attached that is absolutely awsome. It cooks great although a bit smaller than the cookit. We have sent about 275 over to Sudan and have started a local effort here in Fort Wayne to mobalize the volunteer community. I made a little web site that shows the local effort with making the plastic cookits."
