Dear David Chalker,

Introducing The Solatube-Tulsi Hybrid Indoor Solar Cooking Oven

Being a solar energy advocate, I'm always thinking of new ways to promote solar products. The other day, while checking-out the Tulsi-Hybrid Solar Cooking Oven website, I had a great idea, why not combine the Solatube with the Tulsi-Hybrid Solar Oven to create a whole new world of convenient, pollution free indoor cooking.

"Solatube's unique "Variable Butterfly Baffle" driven by an electric motor inside the tubular skylight allows users to control the natural lighting level, from dim to bright. A wall-mounted switch allows for adjustment of the skylight’s output from 100 percent to approximately two percent."

Solatube's "Daylight Dimmer" innovation makes it possible to control the temperature at which foods can be cooked. A sensor located inside the Tulsi-Hybrid Solar Cooking Oven is used monitor the oven's temperature. An electronic feedback system would adjust the Solatube's proprietary "Variable Butterfly Baffle" to keep the desired heat constant. Once the food is cooked, the butterfly baffle automatically closes.

Solatube "Daylight Dimmer" tubular skylights are available in 10" (250mm), 14" (350mm) and 21" (530mm), residential and commercial applications.

Solatube offers flashing kits for fast and easy installations on nearly all roof types and pitches. Solatube can have a photovoltaic surface applied onto the Solatube Roof Flashing to create the "Solatube Solar Roof Flashing Kit." Solatube Solar Roof Flashing can be used to power the Solatube-Tulsi Hybrid Indoor Solar Cooking Oven's electronic components.

Successful solar cooking has always depended on clear skies and intense sunlight. But no longer!

Sun BD Corporation, presents The Tulsi-Hybrid solar cooking oven.

The Tulsi-Hybrid Solar Cooking Oven is a combination solar & electric oven. It’s the best of all worlds. When the sun is out, the oven acts as a solar oven but when the sun disappears, the oven acts as an electric oven cycling between electric and solar heat. The Tulsi-Hybrid’s two setting thermostat automatically controls and maintains the cooking temperature inside the oven chamber so your food is cooked to perfection in any weather.

The Tulsi-Hybrid Solar Cooking Oven slowly and evenly heats to 400 degrees Fahrenheit using direct and reflected sunlight. The light energy absorbed by the oven's dark interior is converted into longer-wavelength heat energy. Most of this longer-wavelength radiant energy can not pass back out through the glass, ensuring more efficient cooking.

The even temperature prevents burning, so you do not need to stir your food while it is cooking. Even though it is called an oven, your favorite foods can be baked, boiled, steamed, roasted and simmered."

The combination of Solatube's Daylight Dimmer technology with the Tulsi-Hybrid Solar Cooking Oven would create a worldwide revolution in indoor cooking. The Solatube-Tulsi Hybrid Indoor Solar Cooking Oven would help to slow climate change while dramatically reducing fuel consumption and costs.

The "Solatube-Tulsi Hybrid Indoor Solar Cooking Oven" would be a blessing in a lot of countries where fuel is rare and pollution from indoor stoves is overwhelming. When the Solatube-Tulsi Hybrid Indoor Solar Cooking Oven is not being used, the unit converts back to a source of natural indoor lighting. What a gift to the world!

Thanks for all your great work.
