Metal tub cooker

The solar cooker with metal tub can be made easily using a metal tub as a cooking comtainer and an external reflector. It is based on an original design by Jay Cambell and adapted for use by the Navajo nation in terms of materials employed and food coked. It has also been used for education and awareness.

  • Basin or tub made of galvanized metal
  • Plywood
  • Hinges
  • Staples
  • Aluminum reflective coating
  • Insulation can be straw, newsprint

In order to build it, the necessary tools are a measuring tape, hammer or screwdriver, and a circular hacksaw.

Dimensions: 76 cm. x 25 - 30 cm. (without the reflector).
