Hi. I'm Mark Reichwein and I live in Aichi prefecture in Japan. I made what I like to call the Solar Griddle. I was inspired by Mike Pool's Solar Fryer. I really wanted to make something that could be used for something like a BBQ, but I was on a budgit. So I searched for all the cheapest materials. Below is a list of all the materials I used and their prices (changed to dollars using the exchange rate of 106 yen to the dollar and rounding up).
Materials
- Cardboard (free)
- Thirty 10.5 x 15cm mirrors ($30)
- Clothes hanging stand ($14)
- Outdoor camp griddle ($14)
- Black paint ($4)
