The Solar Energy Foundation (SEF Nepal) is non-governmental organization dedicated to promote renewable energy technologyies and climate change. The organization is formed in 2003 under the Society Registration Act 1977 of Government of Nepal (GoN). It is registered with the Kathmandu District Administration in Nepal.

Aside from their involvement with other solar energy uses, they began teaching solar cooking in Nepal in 2003. The founder of the organization is Triratna Bajracharya. It appears they use parabolic solar cookers, which are often preferred in Asia.

Recent news and developments

  • March 2012: Dr. Bajracharya reports that they have introduce 40 people to solar cooking since they began their workshops.
