Solar Cooking Yokohama Japan is a nonprofit organization established in April 2006. It holds regular meetings every Tuesday in Kanazawa Ward, Yokohama City. Activities include solar cooker demonstrations at various events and in school classrooms.

News and recent developmentsEdit

• November 2010: Friends of Solar Cooking Yokohama Japan was featured on BS Asahi television across Japan. Five segments of 5-minutes each aired on a weekly "green cafe" program: Segment 1, segment 2, segment 3, segment 4, and segment 5.
• May 2009: Membership is now at 10, with 12 volunteers. Events such as lectures and demonstrations occur most months.
