Welcome to the Solar Cookers International Network (SCInet). Learn to solar cook, build your own solar cooker, or research where to buy a cooker. The hundreds of different solar cooker designs all concentrate or accumulate solar energy to cook food and make water safe to drink. SCInet partners worldwide collaborate to improve and spread this technology for the positive impact it can have on human health and environmental degradation.

The California-based nonprofit, Solar Cookers International, sponsors this global network and manages this site, which is the premier destination for solar cooking information. The 1,800+ articles on the site are accessed approximately 250,000 times each month from almost every country of the world.

NGOs and individuals actively promoting solar cooking, as well as designers, researchers, manufacturers, and vendors are invited to join SCInet. Work with us to increase solar cooking around the world. Thank you to the Agua Fund for providing vital financial support. For more information, contact webmaster@solarcooking.org.
