Welcome to the Solar Cookers International Network (SCInet). Learn to solar cook, build your own solar cooker, or research where to buy a cooker. There are hundreds of different cooker designs to explore, and all concentrate or accumulate solar energy to cook food and make water safe to drink.

SCInet partners worldwide collaborate to improve and spread this technology because of the positive impact it can have for human and environmental health. The California-based nonprofit, Solar Cookers International, sponsors this global network and manages this site, which is the leading destination for solar cooking information. The over 1,700 articles on the site are being accessed approximately 250,000 times each month.

NGOs and individuals actively promoting solar cooking, as well as designers, researchers, manufacturers, and vendors, are invited to join SCInet. Work with us to increase solar cooking around the world. Thank you to the Agua Fund for providing financial support vital to this resource.
