Focus-Balanced Paraboloidal Reflector
Gebaut werden soll ein paraboloider Solarkocher, der durch die Bewegung um eine einzige Achse der Sonne nachgeführt werden kann. Dafür wird ein tiefes Paraboloid benötigt, dessen optischer Brennpunkt in seinem Schwerpunkt liegt. Um das zu bauen wird zuerst eine Negativform konstruiert.
(Mit dieser einfachen Konstruktion können nur Grosskreise beschrieben werden. Nur an zwei Tagen im Jahr, während der Tag- und Nachtgleiche, zieht die Sonne solche Grosskreise am Himmel. An den anderen Tagen muss mit einer leichten horizontalen Bewegung um die Nord- Südachse nachjustiert werden.)
