SolarBug looks like a large bug with a body chamber and two wings. The body chamber is made of transparent glass on three sides and planks on the remaining sides. It is used to house pots and utensil for cooking.

The two wings are made of four pieces of mirrors, two pieces on each wings. While in operation, the wing would be fully retracted to collect sun rays. The inclination angles can be adjusted to best reflect the sun rays. During transportation and storage, the wings could be folded in "M" shaped and further reduced into a square box.

The recorded achievable temperature is around 110°C and it has been used to successfully boiled eggs, cooked rice and bake hotdogs.

SIAPv2.1-SolarBug
