A Safe Water Package includes a CooKit, a supply of heat-resistant plastic bags, a cooking pot with lid, a clay pot with brass spigot designed for safe water (pasteurized water) storage, a fuel-efficient cookstove, a retained-heat cooking basket, and a water pasteurization indicator (WAPI). In 2012, Solar Cookers International began providing this suite of cooking and water pasteurization devices to beneficiaries in Western Kenya through collaboration with community-based partner organizations in Kenya, FOTO and SURE.
