The Pil Kaar ("Sun Lobby" in English) is a box-type cooker developed by Bernard S. Müller of Müller Solartechnik, specifically to be used in Chad to benefit refugees from the Darfur region of Sudan.  The cooker is reported to have reached 170° C (338° F) in an environment with an ambient temperature of 25° C (77° F) with its external reflector, and 80° C (176° F, sufficient to pasteurize water) without.
