Nguyen Tan Bich is the project manager of Vietnam Solar Serve. Since 2000, his group has built and distributed over 1500 cookers (updated 2008) of different designs in the Danang area.

SolarServe is a solar cooking project for poor families and handicapped workers that provides training through workshops and also builds solar cookers. This non-profitable project is an initiative of Solar Serve with the assistance of the University of DaNang . Solar Serve started in 2000 and has so far provided 1100 families with box solar cookers and 60 families with parabolic cookers. In the next few yeas Solar Serve will multiply its production of cookers and research the use of through-the-wall solar cookers.
