The Network of NGOs of Trinidad and Tobago for the Advancement of Women began teaching solar cooking in 1999 in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. Since then, they have taught over 300 workshop participants. With a membership of 102 civil society organizations, they are the largest “umbrella organization” in Trinidad and Tobago with several affiliate NGO’s throughout the Caribbean.
Recent news and developments
- September 2011: Director, Suzanne Nunez, announced the Network of NGOs is in the process of developing its own prototype of solar cooker that is to be released by the end of this year.
