| − | When I learned that I could make a solar cooker out of cardboard, tinfoil and glue and succeeded in cooking in it, it was an epiphany for me. Now I use my solar cooker as a viable alternative to conventional cooking and have been sharing this discovery with as many people as I can by organizing and teaching classes, participating in community fairs and demonstrating at farmer\'s markets. Knowing that cost would not be a factor and anyone could easily access the energy of the sun was exciting to me from a social justice perspective. I am passionate about helping to share this simple skill and feel that it could play a big part in transforming lives, particularly women, and benefit the environment. |
