John Roche is a retired 3M employee who has dedicated his scientific knowledge to facilitating the adoption of solar cooking throughout the world. He is particularly knowledgable about plastic glazing materials. in the 1980's, he was the first to design and create an effective reflective panel for small-scale solar ovens and a film used in reflectors, creating the modern solar cooker.
