Heike Hoedt
From Solar Cooking
Since 1996 Heike Hoedt has been associated with Solare Brücke, a non-profit organisation registered in Germany. Solare Brücke is developing and distributing technical know-how on Scheffler reflectors, their applications, and other solar thermal devices, like box cookers and solar food dryers.
Since 2005 Heike is working extensily with the Afghan Bedmoschk Solar Center, implementing renewable energies in Afghanistan.
Together with Wolfgang Scheffler she received the Nuclear-Free Future Award 2006 in the category "Solutions". The ceremony was held at the Navajo Education Center on Dec. 1, 2006.
