They taught 84 in 2007 and distributed 80 subsidized cookers. Supported and continued a Rotary Project started with UNESCO and Solar Cookers International in 1996.

Recent news and developmentsEdit

  • November 2014: Jill and four others from Girl Guides International and the Rotary Club of Fresno have revived the Solar Project in Zimbabwe in the memory of Wilfred Pimentel. They are conducting monthly demonstrations at a local church and open market. There have been some sales of CooKit solar box cookers, but locals have little resources in the present economic climate.
