Gianni Crovatto is an Italian designer of solar cookers. His designs have been made in four different sizes, although all of them follow the same pattern: they are made mainly of wood, a square box with round bottom to facilitate the orientation and transportation, a circular window and reflectors that hold over an octagonal base around the glazed area. The biggest models are known as the most efficient and achieve temperatures as high as 370 ºC. All the reflectors are tipped up, to facilitate storage and transportation.
