The percussion driling method was used to drill a tubewell to 13m40cm in the village of Garey Goungo, Temera, Gao, Mali,West Africa. Water was found at around 9 metres. The name of the site is Tagam Hondia and the GPS co-ordinates are N17o02'50.3" W01o04'54.5" . The tubewell will be fitted with a rope and washer pump. Oxfam GB is implementing this tubewell driling project with funding generously provided by ECHO. The aim of the project is to reduce malnutrition among children of less than 5 years, in the communes of Bamba and Temera.
