This week's featured article is chosen in discussions at Solar Cooking talk:This week's featured article.

Each featured article summary is named "Solar Cooking:This week's featured article/" followed by the date of the Sunday that it is to appear in yyyy-mm-dd format. To update the featured article:

• Protect the next featured article summary. (This requires an administrator, so if you are not one, leave a note at the Forum and skip this step.)
• Edit Main Page. You need to be logged in to do this.
  • Replace the article name in the heading "Featured article".
  • Increment the date after "This week's featured article" by one week.
• Edit Solar Cooking talk:This week's featured article.
  • Add a new heading at the bottom. The new heading should be the same as the previous heading with the date incremented by one week.
  • Place "Please nominate articles here..." below the heading.
• Create a new featured article summary page.
  • Follow the redlink that you just created.
  • Enter {{subst:This week's featured article}} and save the page.
  • Edit the page you just created and make the changes that are requested in the comments.
• Edit Solar Cooking:This week's featured article.
  • Increment dates by one week (two places).
  • Replace the article name in the heading "This week's featured article".
  • Replace the article name in the heading "Next week's featured article".
  • Add a new item to the unordered list under the heading "Previously featured" by incrementing the date in the previous item by one week.
