The Dierkx solar box cooker

The Dierkx solar cooker was initially developed by J. Dierkx in 1982. The slanted front of this box-cooker design  was specifically intended to create internal circulation when a small quantity of water is placed in the front (and is transformed into steam by the heat of the cooker). Construction plans are freely available (see below), and the Solar Cooker Workgroup Sliedrecht NL also offers the cooker as a kit.
