VITA, Volunteers in Technical Assistance, USA, was one of the foremost NGOs in 1970-75. Even now it has lot of publications to offer on Solar Cookers as well as Wood Stoves and various other alternative energy sources.

TIDE is a quarterly published by Tata Energy Research Institute, Darbari Sheth Block, Habitat Place, Lodhi Road, New Delhi - 110 003. This is the number one organization of India keeping tabs on a whole lot of Energy and other Resources.,

HOME POWER is an excellent online site for various aspects of alternate energy sources. A must for even an advanced researcher.

GENPRO SYSTEMS is an excellent online site for various aspects on Electric Generators as well as Alternate Energy Sources.

JOURNEY TO FOREVER is another excellent site on various aspects of Alternate energy resources and guidelines. A must for the serious browser.

BRETT WHITE was the first contributor to the Compendium of Solar Cooker Designs. He is specializing in folding type solar concentrators. He has plans to pursue his masters in Australia.

DERIS JEANNETTE is working on what he calls 'Clear Dome Solar Ovens'. He is a prolific inventor from the US with many designs and do it yourself plans on his site.

DAVID DELANEY is pursuing the important work of suitably insulating the cooking pot in simple solar cookers like CooKit or the like. He has a lot of information on the same and several interesting variations of the idea.

QUINTON STOWELL has been doing excellent work popularising solar cooking in places like Peru. His site on the subject is one of the most beautiful sites I have seen.

STEVEN JONES has evolved a new type of cooker called the Solar Funnel. His site presents the same with lot of photos and directions. This is yet another excellent site.

MICHAEL D.COOKE has yet another interesting site on Solar Cooking worth visiting.

HANNU VIRTANEN is a well know researcher working in Nepal. His site must be visited for lots of information on double reflector type Solar Cookers.

RAVINDRA and SHOBHA PARDESHI, Sri RAVINDRA and his wife Smt SHOBHA PARDESHI are a husband and wife team working in India on the Mannan type of solar cookers. They have improved the design and have tried out various methods of staking cooking vessels. A visit to their site is also a must.

AJAY CHANDAK is a prolific inventor, and has popularized Solar cookers in his home town of Dhula. He has a lot of information on his site and several interesting variations.

BERNHARD MULLER is a serious inventor as well as leading manufacturer in Germany. He has worked in close association with Prof Roger Bernard, the inventor of CooKit and Nelpa, to evolve a manufacturer's version of Nelpa. A visit to his excellent site is a must.

Editions-Jouvence is a well known publisher from France. They have published Prof Bernard's little book on Solar Cookers called La Cuisson Solaire Facile which describes many different types of Panel Cookers including the famous CooKit.

Editions-Jouvence is now at, but when I search for La Cuisson Solaire Facile on the site it doesn't show up. Beth Ogilvie 21:30, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

ENERGY is a huge and extensive site with hundreds of links on Energy, including one on unproven concepts.
YASUKO TORII has an excellent site on solar Cookers. It has a lot of photos and interesting information.
