The Integrated Cooking Method -- solar, fuel-efficient stoves, and heat-retention -- is an important tool for disaster response. Primary concerns for people affected by large-scale devastation include the need for purified water as well as safe ways to prepare and save food. This page contains a number of resources for those interested in disaster relief or emergency preparedness. The articles below cover the challenges faced by organizations attempting to provide relief in regions whose infrastructure has been destroyed and the need not only for preparedness, but for relief to be self-sustaining over time.
