Australian Dr. Barbara Ford built her first solar oven in 1994, and she has since gone on to run workshops at Northey Street City Farm, give talks at schools, and demonstrate solar cooking at environmental fairs. She is a medical doctor, public health specialist, and permaculture expert. Barbara's first exposure to the power of solar cooking to transform people's lives was while she was medical co-ordinator for the Red Cross in Sudan.
