See also To do.

• Done: Ben Hedrick - * Go through all solar cooker models listed in French wiki and make sure pages exist for these in the English wiki. Make a brief page in the English wiki with a photo and link to the French wiki (using GoogleLinkFromFrench) for each missing model.
• Done: Ben Hedrick - Add a page for each of the cookers listed here: Missing designs (Some may already exisit). Upload photo of each and link to datasheet. I have done this for the AoChi cooker.
• Done: Ben Hedrick Protect templates used on site
• Done:Ben Hedrick Go to each page listed here. Click the most representative image. Add the "Panel cooker plans" category to the image.
• Done: Ben Hedrick Edit this template so that each newsletter links to both the HTML version and the PDF version. I have done the first item. Copy that format. The URLs can be found on this page.
• Done: Ben Hedrick Download all PDFs from this site. Name each one with the full title of the paper plus a hyphen and then the author's name and the year (2009). For example, the first paper under the Solar Food (Products & Processes) category should have this filename: Ten years of experience with the mobile solar kitchen and pancake shop - Michael Götz 2009.pdf. After downloading all PDFs, upload them to the Wiki. As you upload the files, mark them as Fair Use and add this text to the Summary textbox: This paper was presented at the International Solar Food Processing Conference 2009.
• Done: Michael Michalowicz Copy all News You Send items from the latest newsletter into the News and recent developments section of each country.
• Done:Michael Michalowicz Go to all pages listed in Category:Mexico and add a new category right after "Mexico" that is the name of the state. See Gregory Schaeper as an example.
• Done:Michael Michalowicz Write to all the people linked to on the right-hand side of this page and tell them about the Calendar of events, letting them know that they can add their own events to it, or that they can mail them to webmaster@solarcooking.org.
• Done:Michael Michalowicz Go to each of these pages and fix the categories.
• Done:Michael Michalowicz Look at each name in this list. Make sure that each name is correctly alphabetized by last name. If you find one out of order, such as David Denkenberger, go to that page and edit the categories so each category indicates the correct last name after a "|" character.
• Done: Michael Michalowicz Create redirects from the words below to point to Hard porridge. To do this, add #Redirect Hard porridge to each red linked page here: In Benin it's Fufu, in Ghana it's Banku, in Togo it's Futu, Bouillie in Mali, Pap in Namibia, Funje in Angola, Putupap, Ngoni or Nsima in South Africa.
• Done: Michael Michalowicz Create a logo for the Spanish wiki. Use this text: "El Wiki de las Cocinas Solares" as the title and "patrocinado por Solar Cookers International" at the bottom.
• Done: Michael Michalowicz Create a page for Gregory Schaeper using text, info, and images from email the I sent.
• Done: Michael Michalowicz Reupload this pdf file, adding "Grupo Fenix" to the front of the filename. Then go to the Grupo Fenix page and update the link. Delete the old pdf with the improper name. All images and pdfs need to contain the who, what, and when in the title.
• Done: Michael Michalowicz Add page for the person mentioned near the end of this video. He's in Mexico.
• Done: Michael Michalowicz Add a page for this NGO. Use photos at bottom of the page. Tom will add text. Add GoogleTranslateLinksFromSpanish.
• Done: Michael Michalowicz Add an article called Sun Scoop. Take screen shot of this video to use as an image on the page, and also imbed the video. Do a see also to Stephen Harrigan and his NGO.
• Ben Hedrick 21:05, 4 September 2008 (UTC) For each cooker listed on the Terra Foundation's website, look up the cooker on our English site and add a link back to the details page on the Terra website. I've done this for the Devos Solar Cooker already. As you do this, keep a list of the names and URLs of all cookers that are on the Terra site that aren't yet on our English wiki.
• Ben Hedrick 22:55, 6 September 2008 (UTC) Add a category for the state for each of the US NGOs.
• Ben Hedrick 02:37, 30 August 2008 (UTC) Look through all the News You Send items added to the Wiki. Make sure that any NGOs mentioned have pages. Copy news item to that page along with contact info (search in Google for this if you need to). Do the same for any people mentioned if they seem to be doing important work (not just mentioned in passing). For example, I just took the newsbrief added to the India page and copied it to the Haryana Renewable Energy Development Agency page. Do this for NGOs mentioned and for individuals.
• Ben Hedrick 19:29, 25 August 2008 (UTC) Alphabetize languages.
• Ben Hedrick 19:29, 25 August 2008 (UTC) Add Category:South America to all countries there. Same with Central America and North America.
• Ben Hedrick 23:51, 13 August 2008 (UTC) Add photos to Cocinas Ecológicas as mentioned in the text of that page (you'll see photo captions with missing photos). You'll find the photos in this Word document. Cut and paste the captions so that they show up under the photos.
• Ben Hedrick 02:59, 16 August 2008 (UTC) Add to the proper countries (Wikipedia for info). Then add links to all Arabic plans listed here to these country pages.
• Ben Hedrick 23:56, 14 August 2008 (UTC) Sub-divide Asia into sub-regions.
• Ben Hedrick 00:37, 13 August 2008 (UTC) Go to Solar cooking article in Wikipedia and navigate to the foreign language version of the page. On each one, add an external link to the corresponding country page on the English wiki.
• Ben Hedrick 01:04, 11 August 2008 (UTC) Copy all events from the Calendar of Events into the individual country pages (copy, not move!). I did this with an upcoming event in India.
• Ben Hedrick 17:59, 5 August 2008 (UTC) Add external link to this doc] onto top page of French wiki. Add to appropriate section of left-hand TOC.
• Ben Hedrick 03:26, 6 August 2008 (UTC) Add a link to to the Reports section of Bolivia.
• Ben Hedrick 17:56, 4 August 2008 (UTC) Follow this search and make all of these links use "GoogleLinkFromFrench" template (etc.).
• Ben Hedrick 23:37, 2 August 2008 (UTC)Add a page called Mirror Array Cooker. Add this photo and a link to this page. Also add link to Google translated version of page. For page text, use the Google translation of the first paragraph of the document. Mark categories: "Solar cooker designs" and "Solar cooker plans". Also find a place in the Compendium of solar cooker designs where it belongs and add photo and brief text with link to page that you just created.
• Matt Sponheim - Add the "Categoría:Planos para la construcción de cocinas solares" category to all of the cookers that exist on the Spanish site (See All pages). Download from the English wiki one representative photo for each solar cooking design in the Spanish site. Then add these photos to the pages in the Spanish wiki. It isn't possible to link to photos between wikis. As you upload the photos, add the category "Categoría:Diseños de cocinas solares" to the form so that these photos end up having this photo.
Asfaw works with Trees for the Future in partnership with Greener Ethiopia, who to date have planted some 2 million trees in Ethiopia's Gurage zone. Twenty percent of all sales from Ethiopia From the Heart—which costs $55—goes towards planting new indigenous trees in Ethiopia, in an attempt to rejuvenate its habitat and save plants and animals from extinction. Asfaw has also, with a group of professional artists, formed The Mechale Group whose mission is to "facilitate environmental stewardship through fundraising, art, education, alternative technologies, tree planting, and photo-ecotourism, beginning with Ethiopia."
The group hopes to improve the country one village at a time by providing jobs and alternative ways of cooking, starting with the Dendi region (where Asfaw's mother hails from), which boasts a large lake and rich soil. The cyclical plan consists of hiring villagers to build a road and raising the money to buy the materials. This accomplishes two goals: it provides local jobs and improves infrastructure. Asfaw is also negotiating with solar companies to donate solar cookers. In order to receive the cookers, which harness the sun's energy rather than relying on wood or charcoal, families would have to plant a certain number of trees.
• Reserved for Ben Hedrick: check over the Association pages and make sure that the country tags have last names for bio pages.
• Ben Hedrick Search the site somehow for "°F" and "° F" to find where Fahrenheight degrees are used. Add the conversion into Celsius so it looks something like this: 212° F (100° C). If only Celsius degrees are given then add the translation to Fahrenheit in parens after it. Always round up to nearest full degree. Converter from F to C here: http://www.wbuf.noaa.gov/tempfc.htm
• Matt Sponheim - Update Terre de la Paix with any missing information from Terre de le Paix. Delete latter since it is a misspelling. When formatting one of the new page added by Association, always click the country categories to make sure there isn't another page with a similar name.
• Ben Hedrick - Rename "Country page" template etc. to use intitial caps. Make sure Help pages reflect this change.
• Matt Sponheim 17:01, 25 July 2008 (UTC) -Go through all of the pages in Category:India and look up the city for each in Wikipedia or wherever. Then figure out which Indian state that city is in and add that state's category to the page.
• Ben Hedrick 19:08, 23 July 2008 (UTC) Add a page about this cooker (add the video to the page too): http://youtube.com/watch?v=cIt8NXDA3B8&feature=related Mark page with Please contact the person who uploaded the video for more information about the design. Try to get a link to plans for building one.
• Ben Hedrick 00:50, 25 July 2008 (UTC) Rename all of the pages linked to from Category:Help removing the word "Help:" from the front of the names. Go to each page and click the "Move" button to do this.
• Ben Hedrick 00:26, 25 July 2008 (UTC) Go to each page in Category:Solar cooker plans. Determine which image best represents the finished cooker. Click that image and edit it adding to it.
• Ben Hedrick 23:23, 24 July 2008 (UTC) Add GoogleTranslateLinks template to the top of every Country page. Remove the current link from many of these pages that allows for translation into only one language.
• Ben Hedrick 20:17, 23 July 2008 (UTC) Search the Archive and the web to find good information about the Encuentro Solar adding links to the various years that this event was held.

• Ben Hedrick 17:49, 23 July 2008 (UTC) Create page for the Collapsible Solar Box Cooker. Just add the one photo showing cooker with the collapsed version next to it. Add links to the plans in various languages. Mark with category "Solar cooker designs".
• India is getting long. The History section could be moved to another page. --Beth Ogilvie 23:11, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
I created a separate article for The history of solar cooking in India. Tom Sponheim 17:33, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
• Fix red links (add pages) on Wiki tips page (just vandalism help page?) --Beth Ogilvie 01:42, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Done. --Beth Ogilvie 17:56, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Done. Tom, is "Benutzer ohne Niveau des Deutschen" a reasonable translation of "Users without level of German"? Would "Diese Benutzerin hat kaum oder keine Deutschkenntnisse" be significantly better? Walter Siegmund 05:44, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Yes, it is much better. Even better would be this: "Dieser Benutzer hat kaum oder keine Deutschkenntnisse" Tom Sponheim 01:05, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the comment. Walter Siegmund 02:15, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
Done. (I think. :) I tried it on the Sandbox and it looked good, but let me know, Tom, if it's not ok. --Beth Ogilvie 02:12, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
It is copied from Wikipedia. I think these are two different things. The former is a template that is protected. It may be used for any purpose. The latter is a template that is related to protection, e.g., announcing that an article is protected. Walter Siegmund 19:59, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
• Add a colored box at the top of Minimum Solar Box Cooker and other plan pages inviting readers to share their experiences and questions on the talk page. --Beth Ogilvie 01:42, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Done: Template:Plan header. --Beth Ogilvie 18:44, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
Good idea. Either is fine with me. Walter Siegmund 19:55, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Done. --Beth Ogilvie 01:37, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
• Copy the rest of the CooKit page from the archive (anyone) and then make the archive link to the wiki, like what was done for the Minimum Box (Beth or Tom). --Beth Ogilvie 17:14, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Partly done- Content copied from archive page to wiki. Haven't copied most of the pics yet- thinking of adding a photo gallery at the bottom of the page. --Beth Ogilvie 18:44, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
Done, including photo gallery. Also added a note to the old CooKit page in the archive encouraging people to visit the corresponding wiki page. This is for people who have bookmarked or linked that page directly. Did the same for the Minimum Solar Box Cooker archive page. --Beth Ogilvie 23:27, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
• Add a colored box at the top of the FAQ page making it easy for people to add questions. I suggest we route them to the watercooler add-topic page for solar cooking questions and to the help forum add-topic page for wiki questions; then we'll incorporate the Q&A back into the FAQ page. --Beth Ogilvie 01:42, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Done. A colored box looked tacky so it's just a note, and it just mentions Forum:Help desk and Main Page and the search box. --Beth Ogilvie 00:23, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm working on this one. Beth Ogilvie 21:37, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Finished Fall 2006 and Aug 2006. Beth Ogilvie 01:22, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
Finished March 2006. Beth Ogilvie 22:52, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
Done. --Beth Ogilvie 18:07, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
• Edit Category:Help so it's more friendly to a newbie. Suggested changes: Rewrite the first paragraph so it's not full of wiki geek speak, and move the material on stubs, wonderful as they are, to a less prominent location (another page, say Help:Stubs, referenced from the Help category page). --Beth Ogilvie 03:16, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
I moved the stub help into Help:Stubs. Walter Siegmund 18:02, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Done. Feel free to improve it! The help link in the sidebar points to it now, so it's more important than it was. --Beth Ogilvie 18:42, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Done. Added link on Category:High-resolution photographs. --Beth Ogilvie 20:50, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Done. --Beth Ogilvie 21:56, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
