I first came across the HotPot solar oven after a couple of failed attempts to construct my own solar oven. I was plagued by heat loss through improper seals and dismayed by the fact that it took too long to even warm a potato. What convinced me of the value of the Hot Pot was the day I set the oven out, full of dry, unsoaked pinto and black beans and found them all cooked when I returned home. This, I thought, is just what I’m looking for.

The HotPot is a very affordable oven, easily portable and a snap to store indoors. Campers love its ease of use and report back of culinary successes out in the wild.
