Adventures in Health, Education, and Agricultural Development (AHEAD, Inc.) is a non-profit organization that has improved lives in Tanzania and The Gambia by reducing poverty and disease, educating youth, and promoting sustainable environmental practices. Founded in 1981, their staff and volunteers go wherever the need is: inside hospitals and health centers, on the road with our mobile health clinics and in the open spaces of villages.
They provided leadership training in The Gambia. In 2006, Program Coordinator Malcolm Gee introduced solar cooking there. From this work, the local NGO Tilo Tabiro was formed with Lamin Sawo as its director.
